Ecuagringo The First Outfitter To Research & Develop The Galapagos Islands’ Incredible Striped Marlin Fishery Is Now Also The First To Provide The Giant Blue Marlin Out Of Isabela Island & Mothership Assisted Fishing Trips

Mothership Assisted Fishing 2024

Many folks continue to inquire about the mothership option for 2024.  After careful consideration we have thought best to offer folks a starting package with a basic and rustic artesanal fishing boat as a mothership.  Is it pretty? No, but it still will be a clean platform to sleep, eat, drink and tell tales for those who are fishing lovers to the core.  A mothership will allow you and our crews the autonomy to go further, fish longer and explore waters that rarely see a hook.

Operating in the Galapagos is two to three times more expensive than most other island fishing destinations.    Therefore there are no cheap deals when it comes to motherships and fishing here.  We are going to offer two options.  The first option proposed  is the most basic and economic using a local artesanal fishing vessel to sleep and eat on.

This vessel will provide fuel, water and support for our 38 foot  sportfishers.  It will not be  luxurious and the experience is almost a step above camping at sea.  The second option is to use a small cruise ship used for tours in the Galapagos and will be more expensive but for some this may be the way they want to go.  Please feel free to email or inquire about  the second customizable option.

This is not a cheap experience but a mothership/sportfisher combination allows for anglers to fish water that Zane Grey only could dream of when he passed through the Galapagos.  Anglers will be able to explore, fish and witness areas that have rarely seen any type of sportfishing.  The more expensive cruise ship option will be able to supply up to two sportfishers at the same time and possibly 10 anglers.
