Galapagos Continues To Deliver Striped Marlin & Tuna!

Fellow Anglers,

The fishing in the past week has been incredible for Manta/Ecuador as well as the Galapagos Islands. Most boats are raising mixed blue and striped marlin from 3 to 12 fish plus a day! The Galapagos has been delivering 30 to 50 bites of tuna top water in the North of San Cristobal Island and double digit striped Marin on 0-30 Bank.

Ecuador:

Manta:

October 28, 2018– Ecuagringo’s team Miura with Captain Andres Calero went 4/11 on blue marlin. His use of two dredges and electric reels has marked the difference in raises onboard his boat. Golfito went 3/8 on blue marlin. Solo Mia went 1/5 on blue marlin. Isabela had 2/5 on blue marlin. Telita went 2/2 on blue marlin and 2/2 on striped marlin. Pancho went 3/9 on blue marlin and 1/3 on striped marlin.

October 29, 2018– Miura with Captain Andres Calero went 4/8 on blue marlin and 1/2 n striped marlin

October 30, 2018– Miura went 1/3 on blue marlin, 1/2 on sailfish and 1/3 on striped marlin. San Thomas 1/3 on blue marlin. Don Chuma 0/3 on blue marlin and 1/2 on striped marlin.

October 31, 2018– Solo Mia 1/1 on blue marlin and 1/1 on striped marlin. Don Chuma 1/1 on blue marlin and 1/3 on striped marlin.

November 1, 2018– Don Chuma 2/5 blue marlin and 3/5 striped marlin. Golfito went 3/4 on blue marlin. Charlotte went 1/5 with a nice blue they hung of 619 lbs. Aggie went 1/4 on striped marlin.

San Cristobal Island:

October 27, 2018– On The Hook fishing with Captain Gus Hernandez on 0-30 bank with guest from Argentina raised 16 striped marlin and related 7 fish out of 11 bites.

October 28 and 29, 2018– After catching a few marlin our guest from Argentina wanted to bend rods on top-water tuna. Sea conditions were a bit choppy but Captain Gus managed to deliver two fun filled days with 30 bites the first day and over 50 the second day fishing off the North drop of San Cristobal Island. The yellowfin tuna have begun to school on top feeding off flying fish making it easier to cast to.
