2020 Marlin Releases: 653 | Bites: 1470 | Raises: 3197

Galapagos has not disappointed for most of the year. If the 2018 offseason is any indication of what the 2019 prime season may be then we are in for some of the best fishing anywhere. December has been spectacular with most days averaging 5 to 20 plus raises of striped and blue marlin fishing the banks off of San Cristobal Island.

December 23, 2018– Captain Gus fishing onboard Mantaraya went 5/9 on striped marlin and 2/3 on blue marlin releasing the largest blue of around 450lbs. They raised a total of 14 striped marlin and 3 blues for a total of 17 marlin raised.

December 26, 2018– Captain Gus shows Robert Poston’s a fun day of trolling for tuna and wahoo on the North shores of San Cristobal island for good rod bending action.

December 27, 2018– Robert Poston and his grandson fishing with Captain Gus had a fantastic day raising 7 striped marlin with 4 bites and releasing 1. They also raised two blue marlin and released a nice fish around 300#. A total of 9 marlin raised with 6 bites and 2 releases.

December 23, 2018– Kim Johnson and her family had a great day fishing with Captain Gus releasing 4 striped marlin out of 8 bites. They also lost a blue marlin for a total of 10 marlin raises.
