Happy Memorial Day 2018

Now for the fishing:
The fishing out of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands is action packed. May is almost over and has proven to be one of the best months of 2018. The Galapagos Islands continues to be full of striped marlin and some blue marlin. The tuna bite is very strong and seas continue to remain perfect for great fishing. Water in Galapagos averages 76/77 F with plenty of bait and smooth seas still. Manta, Ecuador 78/79 F with good currents pushing South bringing the blue marlin 17 to 40 miles off the coast. Folks the best marlin and tuna fishing happening at this moment is out of the Galapagos Islands!

May 27, 2018– A panga from San Cristobal fishing for tuna on 0-30 Bank who we asked to be on the look out for marlin said the bank was loaded with sardines and surface feeding striped marlin, birds and even tuna. They reported seeing marlin slashing at bait balls on the surface in pods of 20 to 30 marlin at a time and saw dozens of striped marlin tailing in pods of 2 to 6 fish.

More fishing reports on the hot marlin action to come as On The Hook will be fishing this week on Bank 0-30.
