Fellow Anglers,
Just a week ago the fishing was slow with 1 to 5 raises average of striped marlin. Water was green and there was plenty of chlorophyll. Fishing was slower than it had began in January with double digit raises many days. Well, February 10, 2019 was another incredible day to show that the fish are in the Galapagos.
San Cristobal Island
Feb 8, 2019– Scott Werner and his group fished the Banks of Española and raised 3 striped marlin, had 3 bites and released a nice striped marlin onboard Manta Raya with Captain Mike Crosier.
Feb 9, 2019– Scott Werner bottom fished out of McGowen Reef and caught a dozen bonitos, plenty of jacks and some grouper on the jigs.
Feb 10, 2019– Professor Ian Trayer and spouse Barbara Watt released 7 striped marlin out of 25 raises and 19 bites. They also lost a blue marlin in the mix onboard Manta Raya. Vertigo fishing with Peter Santini’s guest reported raising over 30 marlin with 24 bites and 8 striped marlin released and 3 blue marlin.
