Galapagos Islands
Santa Cruz Island:
May 14, 2018– Captain Nicolas Schiess onboard Tesoro Galapagos fished 0-30 Bank. He reported plenty of tailers and hot action from striped marlin. He raised 27 striped marlin and 3 blue marlin. They went 2/15 on striped marlin an 1/3 on blue marlin. One of those days that the fish were very finicky and hard to hold on. The bank was full of sardines and conditions were calm and beautiful.

San Cristobal Island:
May 14, 2018– Captain Gus Hernandez aboard the On The Hook also fished 0-30 Bank. Captain Gus said the bank was loaded sardines, perfect water conditions and lots of marlin. He reported seeing over 30 marlin slashing bait on the surface in one event and several pods of trailers. He fished with UK angler Andrew Hebard and his family. They raised 26 striped marlin and 4 blue marlin. They released 3/7 on the striped marlin bites and 2/4 on the blue marlin. One blue marlin apparently had the tip wrapped and broke a rod causing the crew to loose the fish a few feet from the possible release.
Folks 60 marlin raised in a single day between two boats! 53 striped marlin and 7 blue marlin in one day is not a bad number.

Manta:
May 14, 2018– Panga Felipe went 1/5 on blue marlin and 1/2 striped marlin. Panga Explorer went 0/2 on blue marlin and 1/2 on striped marlin.
