Fellow Anglers,

Fresh news from San Cristobal Island, Galapagos. The striped marlin and yellowfin tuna are present in incredible numbers. Although this has been an irregular year with all the shutdowns due to to Covid19 we have had fish all year. It is now mid October and the reports from local are huge numbers of striped marlin feeding on the surface and lots of large schools of yellowfin tuna.

As we are getting close to several groups coming down to fish the Galapagos before the year’s end we are sending our crews out in pangas to check on the fishing. The reports are very encouraging.

Fish were reported to average 150 to 200 pounds and sea conditions were modest chop. Lost of birds, sea lions and bait seen on the surface.

Over 40 tailing marlin counted throughout the day. Fish on surface were lazy and few chased the lures. Most bites came from underneath. Lots of yellowfin tuna were seen feeding on the surface.
