Galapagos Islands Marlin Fishing Report

San Cristobal Island Striped Marlin Bite:

March 4 and 5, 2023 have shown most boats raising double digits of striped marlin.  Most boats have been raising from 15 to over 35 striped marlin each day of March 4 and 5 out of either Española Banks or Rosa Blanca.  Certain areas of the banks seem to be hotter than otters with more bait and surface action with birds diving, sea lions, marlin and sharks chasing sardines.

If you want fast action of multiple large striped marlin in the spread San Cristobal Island is for you.  We have some last minute March and April, 2023 dates available.

Isabela Island Blue Marlin Happenings:

March 4 and 5, 2023 there is perhaps no bigger bummer or nemesis when it comes to blue marlin fishing than green water.  Seasoned billfish anglers know that when it comes to blue marlin green water can be a death kiss.  Green waters are not a rarity in the Galapagos but what is unusual is now over 10 days of green water.  On March 4 the crew of the Patricia did raise a blue marlin that wacked the lines twice but did not take.  On March 5 they only caught a dorado.  They are back at it again and hopefully conditions will improve for this awesome blue marlin fishery.  No one can change nature but we are certainly hope she changes for the better.

Folks we do have a few dates still open on the Patricia to fish March and April for giants out of Isabela.
