Plenty of marlin and with some very large striped marlin around!

The last week of fishing has produced a very good number pf striped marlin. In a total of 5 days of fishing onboard the Mantaraya 97 striped marlin were raised with 51 bites and 29 releases. Several fish were around 300 pounds with one close to 320 pounds. The colder water 72 F brings large female striped marlin to the Galapagos. As the water cools the numbers may drop somewhat but the fish seem to get bigger.

June 30, 2019– Todd Murray took his family onboard the Mantaraya for a day of striped marlin fishing on Española Bank. They raised 11 striped marlin had 5 bites and released 5 with one fish estimated around 320 pounds. Lots of sea lions and albatross on the bank.
