The Galapagos have long time been an incredible marlin and tuna fishery. However the last few years they have gained a lot of attention as more and more anglers visit the islands to pursue yellowfin and big eye tuna. The daily double digit shots at tuna and the incredible wildlife make the Galapagos a dream destination for any angler. Other destinations such as Manta and Salinas have been unusually slow for marlin in mid March. Manta is producing a good amount of grouper, sea bass and almaco jacks. Galapagos has had some slow marlin action from blue, black and striped marlin but not in the numbers that make it famous in March.
