Dec 1, 2012Fishing Reports

Fellow Anglers:

As the change of season sets in all over Ecuador warmer weather and waters are to be expected as well as great fishing. Here are the reports of some of the general action for the past week.

Ecuador

Salinas

The fishing in Salinas is red hot!! The last two weeks boats have reported seeing an average 30 to 100 tailers per day of striped marlin. Condition are calm with little or no wind. Plenty of bait and stripeys swimming in large groups. The fish have not been particularly aggressive yet boats are raising 10 to 30 fish in their spread per day. Beautiful conditions, lot of life and tuna in porpoise are been seen on a regular basis.

We have sapce available to fish immediatly in Salinas!

Galapagos Islands

San Cristobal

The water is starting to gradually warm up. The inshore, tuna and wahoo fishing has been spectacular this year! The striped marlin are starting to show up on the banks. One boat reported raising 15 stripeys Nov 26 with 8 bites and 4 releases. Plenty of sardines and boobies feeding in the area of Rosa Blanca. We expect this bite to blow wide open anytime.
