October 19-22, 2017

Fellow Anglers,

The Ecuagringo Fishing Team is currently in Manta, Ecuador on a filming project and doing swordfish research. In between shooting the culture, local markets, sites and the people we are actually trying to fit some fishing.

Ecuador:

Manta

October 19, 2017– Miura fished a local charter from Manta and went 2/3 on blue marlin and 1/2 on striped marlin. Captain Andres Calero had a fun day releasing 2 blues and a striped marlin. Panga Octavio fishing the same area went 1/2 on blue marlin.

October 21, 2017– Isabela fishing 17 to 22 miles out caught a blue marlin, a striped marlin and lost another striped marlin ending the dat 2/3 on marlin and 3 dorados. Miura captained by Andres Calero and fishing with Ecuagringo founder Braden Escobar had a day of fun in the sun but no bites from any marlin. Panga Henry went 1/1 on blue marlin. Conditions were cloudy and overcast but ocean seemed almost perfect to fish.

October 22, 2017– Golfito went 0/1 on blue marlin.
