August continues to impress in the Galapagos Islands with plenty of striped marlin. The last week has seen waters warm up to 73/74 degrees Fahrenheit. Seas have been relatively nice to cruise and fish in considering it is the windy time of year. If you are looking for a last minute place to catch striped marlin then the Galapagos Islands should be where you go next. We are almost completely sold out for January, February and April.

San Cristobal Island Fishing Report:

August 26, 2019– Ecuagringo team with Captain Gus Hernandez set out to fish for the sole purpose of getting a fishing report. Our company is the only outfitter that will spend resources to provide almost without fail weekly reports of fishing action wether we have anglers or not.

On The Hook headed for Española Bank as the action was good last week. The bank was loaded with bird life, sardines and dolphins. Water was 74 F and seas were quite agreeable. The morning was fats action tasing double and triples of striped marlin in the spread. By 12:00 pm 18 striped marlin had been raised with 10 bites and 6 releases by the crew. They ended by 3 pm with a total of 28 raises, 18 bites and 10 releases. Some of the striped marlin were estimated 220 to 240 pounds.
