Ecuador & Galapagos Marlin & Tuna Fishing Report

September 3-5, 2017

Fellow Anglers:

Our Galapagos fleet is undergoing maintenance and repairs so not much from there. Manta continues to provide a steady supply of marlin action. Even Salinas has seen a spike in striped marlin action the past few days.

Ecuador:

Manta

September 3, 2017– Chola 0/1 on blue marlin and 0/1 striped marlin and saw 5 tailing striped marlin that would not bite. Mahi-Mahi Way 0/1 on blue marlin and 0/1 on striped marlin and saw 4 more striped marlin not hungry and tailing. Miura went 0/1 on blue marlin and 1/2 on striped marlin and saw two more tailing striped marlin with Christoff brothers from Brazil. Panga Tenorio went 1/1 on blue marlin and 0/3 on striped marlin.

September 4, 2017– Panga Mazinger went 1/2 on blue marlin. Panga Felipe 0/3 on blue marlin and 1/2 on striped marlin. Panga Henry went 2/2 on blue marlin and 1/3 on striped marlin.

September 5, 2017– Panga Tenorio went 2/3 on blue marlin, 1/1 on black marlin and 2/4 on striped marlin. Panga Don Teofilo went 2/3 on blue marlin and 2/3 on striped marlin. Panga Explore went 3/5 on blue marlin and 1/1 on striped marlin. Panga Eduardito went 0/1 on a nice black marlin estimated around 850# that spit the hook up close after 2 hours and went 1/2 on striped marlin.

Salinas

September 3, 2017– Joshua went 2/5 on striped marlin and saw 7 more tailing striped marlin that would not feed.
