Marlin, Tuna & Swordfish Report for Ecuador & The Galapagos Islands
November 18-20, 2017
Fellow Anglers:
Salinas is experiencing a very good marlin bite the last few weeks. Manta continues to have a decent marlin bite and Galapagos has been quite rough but very productive on mahi-mahi on fly lately.
Ecuador
Salinas:
November 19, 2017– Amiramar went 1/2 on blue marlin and 2 dorados, Amalita 1/2 on striped marlin 0/1 on blue marlin and 3 dorados. Tommy Walker went 1/2 on blue marlin and 1 dorado
Manta:
November 18, 2017– Panga Don Henry went 2/3 on blue marlin and 1/2 on striped marlin. Panga Mario went 1/2 on blue marlin and 1/1 on a black marlin about 650#.
November 19, 2017– Panga Mazinger went 0/2 on blue marlin and 2/2 on striped marlin and harpooned a swordfish about 300# on the surface. Panga Explorer went 1/4 on blue marlin.
November 20, 2017– Panga Mi Pana went 1/2 on blue marlin. Panga Mazinger went 1/2 on black marlin and 6 wahoo.
Galapagos Islands:
San Cristobal Island:
November 18-19-20, 2017– Scott Banks fished onboard the On The Hook. Seas were usually rough for November so they targeted dorado and big eye tuna on the fad buoys out of Punta Pitt. Scott caught dozens of very nice dorado including several good sized bulls on fly. He also caught several big eye tuna.
