Marlin, Tuna & Swordfish Report for Ecuador & The Galapagos Islands
November 5-6, 2017

Ecuagringo is continuing its efforts to provide the best possible fishing in all our exotic destinations. This week’s report feature incredible wahoo bites going off in Galapagos, a nice marlin bite in Salinas and some of the usual action in Manta.
Galapagos Islands
San Cristobal Island
The season is starting to change in the Galapagos and with the influx of currents, nutrients and bait come the wahoo and the striped marlin. Waters averaged 72/73 F
Nov 5, 2017– Jhonamar 2 reported going 11/20 on very nice wahoo while fishing Hancock Bank. The biggest wahoo weighed 88# and most fish averaged 30 to 65#. A couple of bonita and a nice big eye tuna about 45# made it for a rod bending day.
Nov 6, 2017– Jhonamar 2 headed for 0-30 Bank in search of big eye tuna. They raised 4 striped marlin on the bridge teasers but were focused on tuna so the anglers were not interested in marlin. They went 6/9 on big eye tunas averaging 35 to 75#. The tuna made for delicious fresh sashimi.

Salinas
Nov 6, 2017– a panga run by 2 mates from the Salinas Yatch Club went 2/4 on striped marlin ad 0/1 on blue marlin fishing 20 miles West.
Manta
Nov 5, 2017– Panga Mazinger reported going 1/3 on blue marlin. Panga Don Teofilo went 0/2 on striped marlin.
Nov 6, 2017– Panga Mazinger went 2/2 on blue marlin including a nice fish estimated over 700#.
