Striped Marlin Action Happening Now!
Fellow anglers we can’t stress enough that if you want great winter fishing and leave the cold behind there is no better time to get to the Galapagos Islands than now. Plenty of striped marlin action heating up in the past week out of San Cristobal and Santa Cruz islands. Various boats fishing are reporting double digit raises and bites out of 0-30, Rosa Blanca and Española banks.
Some days the fishing will slow down on one bank and pick up on the other. Water temperatures have been holding above 77 F and we believe we will start seeing blue and even black marlin in the mix more often as season comes into full swing. The effects of La Niña are receding apparently faster now.
The wind report for the next 10 days is 1 to 7 knots max. You just are not going to. find much calmer conditions for the the Galapagos. There has not been a better time to book a last minute trip to fish the incredible Galapagos Islands. Ecuagringo has 4 boats you can count on with the best crews and tackle in all of the Galapagos.
