Here is the latest action from Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. If you are looking for a new or wild destination to fish then you need to consider Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Marlin, tuna, wahoo and grouper all possible in the Galapagos. Manta has excellent marlin, wahoo and grouper fishing.
Ecuador
Manta:
August 31, 2017– Miura headed out with brothers Fernando and Fabricio Christoff from Brazil and had a nice day going 1/2 on a double of blue marlin and 1/1 on striped marlin.
September 1, 2017– Miura went spearfishing for wahoo and went 4/4 on spear and 1/1 on the rod with the Christoff brothers. Panga Don Teofilo went 1/2 on blue marlin. Panga Mazinger went 0/2 on blue marlin.
September 2, 2017– Miura went 0/1 on marlin. Chola 1/2 on blue marlin and 1/1 on striped marlin. Amalita 2/2 on blue marlin. Isabela 0/1 on blue marlin. Moni went 0/0. Golfito 1/1 on blue marlin. The current was pushing North.
Salinas:
September 2, 2017– Joshua went 2/7 on striped marlin and reported seeing more tailing striped marlin on the surface.
Galapagos Islands
San Cristobal Island
Most of the fleet is doing maintenance this week to the boats and starting to get ready for the striped marlin bite which starts to usually heat up in October/November. Local skiffs are reporting lots of big eye tuna 25 to 75# on Bank 0-30.
